Towns and villages across the UK have already started booking their solar-powered Christmas trees ready for Christmas 2020!

And one town says its residents found them so magical it has doubled its order this time round!

The eco-friendly, crowd-pleasing trees weaved their magic up and down the country during the festive season – so much so that happy customers don’t want to miss out on repeating the experience.

Barlby and Osgodby Town Council in North Yorkshire, which has used Plantscape’s solar-powered trees for several years, became the first customer to place its 2020 order.

Council manager Dianne Dumbell was delighted with the response to the illuminations. “Due to the very positive feedback from residents and the wider area, we have doubled our order for 2020. It is a ‘sparkling’ product and an efficient, fuss free service.”

Clerk to South Cave Parish Council in East Yorkshire, Lyndsey Fielding, was equally delighted and is already planning the village’s 2020 illuminations.

“They have been brilliant and we had lots of compliments about them,” she said.

And Ynysawdre in South Wales, whose residents and visitors were assailed with the sight of 28 hanging trees and nine half trees, is placing an order for the coming yuletide too.

Council clerk Anne Wilkes said: “We were more than happy with the solar-powered Christmas trees and look forward to ordering additional lights for 2020. We had excellent customer service and Plantscape was very quick to respond.”

The comments follow a record year for Plantscape’s solar powered trees, which come complete with 80 twinkly LED lights, fit easily onto existing lamppost or hanging basket brackets and can be individually programmed, back at Plantscape HQ, to switch on at the council’s chosen time.

Benefits include the fact that there is no need for a complex and costly wiring infrastructure, nor the accompanying electrical certification. The power supply is free and they can be installed in places where there is no easily accessible electrical source. They even have a battery back-up in case the sun fails to shine.
