A team of intrepid employees from TCL Group’s head office in Derbyshire threw themselves down mud slides and under and over dozens of weird and not-so-wonderful obstacles to raise money for MacMillan Cancer Support this month.
The 11 strong gang were taking part in an X-Runner event which describes itself as ‘The UK”s best mud run and obstacle race.’
The gruelling and extreme event consisted of 5km laps – some of which the team chose to do twice – made up of 34 obstacles and mud runs in Brailsford near Ashbourne in Derbyshire.
Colleagues sponsored their crazy counterparts to the tune of more than £400 towards the TCL Group’s chosen charity.
JustGiving page organiser and TCL Group IT director Chris Holland said: “Everyone finished the course – and two of them even went around a second time! We got very, very muddy which, for some reason, we regraded as great fun. We felt much better for our adventures, not least because we raised money for a very deserving cause.”
