Playforce has donated a selection of natural world play equipment to a number of children’s hospices across the UK to help youngsters enjoy their short lives as much as possible.

The donations – to hospices in Wales, the North East, North West and South of England – were made during Children’s Hospice Week, with the locations suggested by national charity Together for Short Lives.

Playforce decided to make the donations when the charity explained the terminally ill children they help listed playing outside as one of the top five things they enjoy.

Playforce marketing director Emily Northin said: “As part of our Nature Month in November and our ongoing support for hospices across the UK, we wanted to help more children – and those closest to them – enjoy the outdoors and have some fun, at a time when they need it most.

Donations included a mini-beast habitat and hedgehog house, a Mud Kitchen and a fun grow seating planter.
