Digital Marketing Executive

We are expanding out central marketing team based at our group Head Office in Derbyshire, and we’re on the hunt for a digital marketing star!

Following a period of sustained growth and a number of acquisitions within TCL Group, this newly created role will sit within the central marketing team and is suitable for an ambitious marketer that has a thorough understanding and passion for digital marketing techniques and digital marketing channels. The successful candidate will enjoy working as part of a small marketing team and take responsibility for the digital presence of all TCL Group businesses, with a focus on lead generation. In the short to medium term, this role will also provide maternity cover for a current member of the team, covering all aspects of the marketing mix to generate inbound leads for one of our businesses.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsibility for the development and day to day management of all TCL Group websites.
  • Developing and implementing our SEO strategy, ensuring our company websites are being found easily under all relevant search terms.
  • Day to day planning and management of PPC campaigns for individual businesses as required.
  • Responsibility for the creation of engaging and successful email campaigns as part of the planned marketing activity for each business, utilising automation of campaigns where possible and feeding results back into the relevant sales teams for follow up.
  • Liaising closely with the wider team to ensure all content produced for digital platforms is properly optimised for search and utilised in the best way
  • Working alongside the marketing team to contribute to other marketing tasks and projects as required.

Skills and Experience

  • Knowledge and experience of managing websites via CRM systems such as Wordpress
  • A thorough understanding of SEO, continually refreshing own knowledge and learning from new developments, algorithm updates and best practice.
  • Demonstrable experience of managing multiple PPC campaigns (including Google AdWords) and maximising return on investment of these.
  • Knowledge, or demonstrable experience of using digital analytics software and tools such as Google Analytics to produce reports, identify opportunities and measure success.
  • Experience of using CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
  • Experience in using creative software for the production of artwork, infographics, animations and video would be an advantage
  • Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years, with a good grounding in B2B marketing across all media and channels

Person Specification

The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, quick to learn, and will need to be enthusiastic and happy to engage with people within the business at all levels as well as external contacts on a daily basis. They will need the confidence to work independently and become the go-to expert for all things digital, whilst also being a natural team player, working collaboratively with the other members of the team. Organisation skills will also be key, with the need to juggle several tasks and projects simultaneously, often working to tight deadlines.

The successful candidate will also be required to travel, on occasion, to visit other TCL Group offices within the UK or to attend events, photoshoots or other on-site activities as required.
