We are now looking to recruit a highly driven Business Development Executive, who will play a key part in driving forward the company’s growth plans by working collaboratively with our field-based Consultants and internal Operational teams. The Business Development Executive will handle both inbound and outbound calls, generate new good quality sales meetings and nurture existing Customer relationships in line with our business objectives. This role will be challenging, varied and exciting, where making things happen is key and a positive mindset is extremely important.

Job Purpose

  • Take ownership of your area and manage both inbound and outbound calls to generate new good quality sales meetings
  • Build and nurture proactive relationships with all customers
  • Assist the field-based Consultants by providing relevant information for meetings and diary support
  • Seek opportunities to sell Playforce products and services

Key Skills

  • A professional telephone manner with experience in having quality conversations with different types of customers, whilst being able to adapt communication styles to overcome any objections
  • Track record of exceeding both inbound and/or outbound lead targets along with other KPI’s, month on month
  • Tenacious with a can-do attitude who can keep calm and positive, whilst wanting to do better every day by exceeding targets and objectives
  • Able to work individually to achieve the goals and objectives of the business by being proactive and forward thinking whilst positively embracing change
  • Highly organised, with the ability to multi-task effectively

Key Responsibilities

  • Make designated outbound calls to potential and existing customers to ensure target meetings are achieved
  • All enquiries must be logged immediately on receipt and contacted the same day
  • Follow up on leads generated by specific marketing campaigns
  • Take ownership of problems as they arise and turn into a positive by ensuring they are dealt with in a timely manner
  • Identify current market trends and patterns and work with both the field-based Consultants and the Marketing team to enhance revenue-generating opportunities
  • Support field-based Consultants with their forecasting and pipeline management
  • Ensure all complaints are dealt with promptly, efficiently and effectively
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets, as set by your manager
  • Able to make decisions where appropriate, by using own initiative or in conjunction with the field-based Consultants
  • Create new and referral meetings by building solid relationships with existing and new Customers
  • Update database and ensure all data is recorded accurately for each Customer
  • Liaise with other departments to help address issues
  • Responsible for supporting the wider sales team in nurturing existing relationships to ultimately contribute to the sales order KPI’s
  • Handle inbound enquiries within your specified area
  • Liaise with the field-based Consultants to ensure their area is well managed
  • Work with the Customer Account Managers, field-based Consultants and Operational teams to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Promote the Playforce shop on all calls
  • Attend head teacher conference and trade shows when required

Experience

  • Experience working in an inbound/outbound calling environment
  • Background in Customer Service or Sales
  • Administrative experience in a busy environment
  • Experience of the UK Education market
