Contract Scope

The contract encompasses planned works and reactive works. The contract operates 365 days per year on a 24-hour basis, with emergency works.

The contract includes the following services:

  • Grass cutting (cut & collect)
  • Maintenance of shrub beds and planted areas
  • Litter collection
  • Leaf collection
  • Hard surface cleansing
  • Herbcide application
  • Hedge cutting
  • A reactive service
  • Arboricultural surveys
  • Arboricultural remedial works
  • Winter Maintenance
  • Landscape installation

All planned & reactive works are tracked on a client-based portal which the Contract Manager interfaces with to update progress on works in real time.


The contract is run from our depot in Enfield, North London.


4 core staff including 1 Apprentice (attending Capel Manor College, studying Amenity Horticulture L2). Arboricultural staff as required.

Vehicles and Machinery

The LFB contract operates a fleet of works vehicles and specialist grounds maintenance equipment including:

  • Various ride-on and pedestrian rotary mowers.
  • Full range of mechanical hand-tools.
  • Ford Transit Tipper vehicles

All equipment for the contract is serviced and repaired at our own workshop in Dorking.

Waste Management

All green waste generated is returned to Enfield, green waste is recycled into soil conditioner.

Quality Monitoring

All visits are logged on the portal allowing visibility of all works completed for monitoring purposes by Burleys and the LFB. A planner of visits is uploaded and amended on a monthly basis to give indicative dates for planned attendance, allowing each location to accommodate a visit.
