We are committed to the continuous improvement of our corporate social responsibility programme and encourage our business partners and suppliers to follow accordingly.
Striving to support the communities within which we work, we participate in schemes to assist people back to work, support local initiatives and charitable projects. We also employ our teams from the local areas to our contracts, including a number of apprenticeships and work experience placements.
One example of a recent social value project is the sensory garden created for the residents of a care home in Irchester, for which we donated £250 worth of plants, filled in an existing pond and created an accessible sensory space for the residents to enjoy. You can read more about this project here.
We also recently joined our client SEGRO in a Day of Giving, gardening for the Taplow and Hitcham Brownies and the Thames Valley Adventure Playground for children with special needs in Maidenhead as well as a small courtyard garden at Wrexham Park Hospital near Slough. The work involved cutting hedges, weeding, and clearing rubbish as well as donating and planting plants.
