Burleys colleagues win awards for dedication and service
More than two dozen Burleys team members across the country have been presented with awards for outstanding service and dedication to their work.
Prizes were presented to 28 colleagues in categories such as best team leader, best newcomer, most improved and best overall employee.
The acknowledgements come at the end of a busy year for Burleys, which won and extended a number of large and high profile contracts with organisations such as Slough Trading Estate owner SEGRO, various NHS Trusts and many social housing providers.
The presentations were made by directors across the network of depots over Christmas and the New Year from Durham in the north to Lewes in the south.
Burleys North and Midlands regional director, Joe Howarth explained: “Our staff are at the coalface of the business, interacting with customers on a daily basis. It’s these dedicated staff who deliver the service and it is only right that we acknowledge and reward some our best. This year it proved extremely difficult to decide on who should win as we received such a high number of outstanding nominations.
“The employee awards are a way of saying thank you to many of the staff who ensure we continue to provide excellent service to our customers.”
Prizes were awarded to Kerniff Simms, Bradley Perren, Brian Morris, Chris Brummell, Dave Simpson, Duncan McKenna, Simon Ryan, Bradley Musk, Joe Goddard, Alec Flower, Richard Evison, Martin Gomm, Matthew Barnett, Calum Mulligan, Adam Welling, Angus Baird, Bob Kendall, Graham Mabberley, Tom Robinson, Paul Miles, Ian Batchelor, Tony Beard, Lee Ramsey, Ian Hutchinson, John Debnam, Paul Clare and Steve Smith.
